We invite you to visit and spend the two or three hours necessary to see all of the different machinery offered and available for immediate delivery. When you are visiting the east coast of the US we invite you to stop by and visit the GBI warehouse located 10 minutes off of Exit 31(for Route 229 North) of I-84 in the state of Connecticut, and an easy visit from New York City. WHERE IS THE WAREHOUSE AND HOW DO I GET THERE? The warehouse is located in Bristol, Connecticut, which is southwest of Hartford, Connecticut. Bristol can be reached by flying to any of the two New York City Airports (Kennedy or LaGuardia), Newark Airport in New Jersey, Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut or Boston Airport (Logan International Airport). or T.R. Green Airport in Rhode Island. Drive time from these airports are as follows:
DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO BRISTOL FROM I-84 EAST/WEST Gibbs-Brower International maintains two locations. Our sales office is located in Bethel, Connecticut; tel 203-797-0443. Our warehouse is located in Bristol, Connecticut; tel 860-584-5543. All inspections take place in Bristol, Ct. The contact at our warehouse is Bill Morton or Walt Brutting. The address is: Gibbs-Brower International Corporation 551 Broad Street Bristol, CT 06010 Tel: 860-584-5543 / Fax: 860-582-2292 Take I-84 exit 31 (Route 229/West Street). At the of the end ramp, take a left if you are going eastbound, take a right if you are going westbound. Follow Route 229 north (towards Bristol), go about 4.2 miles and when you see the train overpass, get in the right hand lane. As you go under the overpass, take a right onto Route 72 east. Go approximately 100 yards and take a right into a large industrial complex (Gaski’s Warehouse Complex). Gibbs-Brower is in the back of the complex. You will stay to the right of the buildings. Go around to the back of the building and you will see the sign for Gibbs-Brower International. If you would like to stay at a hotel close to the warehouse in Bristol, we recommend the Radisson Inn at 42 Century Drive, Bristol. The Radisson Inn is approximately 3 miles from the warehouse. It is all highway driving from the airport to the warehouse. The phone number for making reservations at the Radisson Inn is 1-800-333-3333, the local phone number for the Radisson Inn in Bristol is 860-589-7766, the fax number is 860-585-0707. The Radisson Inn is 3 miles down Route 229 once you get off the highway, it is on the left hand side of the road. The warehouse is about 3 miles from the Radisson. GBI’s sales office is located in Bethel (approx. 55 minutes south of Bristol). CAN I VISIT ON A SATURDAY OR LATE IN THE EVENING? No, unfortunately we cannot accommodate any visits to the warehouse at any time, other than the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All inspections in process at 3:00 p.m. must conclude by 4:30 p.m. We encourage inspections to start at 8:00 a.m. The warehouse is closed on holidays, Saturday and Sunday. From Manhattan/New York City, the Metro North commuter Train Service leaves Grand Central Station every hour, direct to Brewster, New York. A salesperson will meet your train at Brewster and the drive to the warehouse from the Brewster Station is approx. 1 hour. Limousine service from LaGuardia & Kennedy Airports: The Connecticut Limousine Service operates hourly directly from Kennedy or LaGuardia Airport to the Danbury, Connecticut terminal, at the Danbury Hilton Hotel. A salesperson will meet you at the Danbury Hilton and the drive from there to Bristol is approx. 1 hour. It has been our experience that most visitors require between 2-4 hours at the warehouse. We would appreciate 3-5 days notice of your visit so that we might plan accordingly and avoid scheduling conflicts with other customers. Most inspections start at 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. Finalizing your appointment: Once you have selected the day and time of your visit, please call us. We will then send you via fax, detailed directions so you will have no difficulty finding our warehouse, whether driving, taking the train or the limousine service, along with hotel recommendations. |
